For anyone using Amazon.com as a Prime or other member, you may have come across some very annoying and very confusing accounting practices on their part.
Having ordered a variety of items in several different orders, credit card statements can come up with a different charge amount than that shown on their website, for a particular order item. If you have an order for $40 made up of 4x$10 items, they may charge you $8, $12, $6 and $14 instead, as individual charges on your card, and this shows on your statement.
The question is this - how, without an invoice showing the amount pertaining to a particular item, are you supposed to report this for accounting purposes?! And how is this even allowed to happen on Amazon's end? Wondering if others have had this experience and what the implications may be.
Keep an eye on your Amazon account/credit card statement the next time you order and please share your experience!
