Crew Chef/Stewardess required for 55M Dual season Motor Yacht. You must have a fair bit cooking experience be it a Ski season or a VERY good course. You need to have a strong repertoire and be able to work independently at times. This is not a position for someone who needs their hand held when it comes to crew food and provisioning. You must be willing to learn as you will be given as much responsibility as you earn by that I mean if you excel you will have a hand and an input on guest food to. You will be the sole chef on-board for the crossing to the Caribbean aprox 3 weeks after joining so you really need to be able to hit the ground running. I will be on-board for your first week before going on leave for 5 weeks. Interior experience would be an advantage but not a necessity. Great charter season in the Caribbean (usually St Maarten home berth) with 6-8 charters and 2-4 boss trips.
Summer season is boss only cruising Newport/Nantucket/Marthas Vineyard & Oyster Bay etc.
You would be joining a crew of 4, and it is important that yo realise your role is NOT JUST CHEF :)
We all pitch in and help each other out - particularly the chef helping with the stew.
This is not a chefs position where you can chill and take time out when you’ve cooked for crew and your in-between trips!!
guest breakfast set up / Ironing (off guest trips) /updating inventories/ interior shopping/ flower organisation/ charter drinks organisation/ are all roles undertaken by current chef to help out the sole stew.
The boss loves family style meals and favours Italian / American cuisine. He knows what he likes and although he is particular he is extremely patient and happy to guide you until you are both on the same page!
There is handover time with current chef and a detailed folder of the family’s likes and dislikes.

YACHT INFORMATION: A 28m motor yacht (private) is looking for a sole stewardess/chef/strong cook to join their crew of 3. The Sole stewardess/Chef/Strong cook will need to be enthusiastic, creative and be able to think outside the circle. A strong eye to detail within the interior detailing and very organised. Have an outgoing and flexible personality, be able to work in a small team environment, be well organised at all times. Must be Australian or New Zealander, or able to work in Australia. Preference is given to those that are living within New Zealand and Australia. The yacht will consider candidates overseas however you will need to be prepared to pay for your flight home and must have a Australian working visa.

CHEF/STRONG COOK DUTIES: You will be required to cook for guests and crew, be able to provision and menu plan. Be really organised

STEWARDESS DUTIES: Maintain the interior in yacht to a high standard, have strong table service and strong eye to detail within in the yacht.

QUALIFICATIONS: STCW95, ENG1 medical, have chef qualifications or a strong cooking background on super yachts of this size or larger. Must be very organised in the galley and have a strong background within the interior of a super yacht. Strengths in strong table service (fine dining), good eye to detail, & laundry services. Strong housekeeping skills to super yacht standard is required. An outgoing and friendly attitude will be required. Be a qualified chef and be able to cook healthy food for the crew. Any medical background or skills would be an advantage.

ITINERARY: Gold Coast-Whitsundays-Gold Coast.

START DATE: 8thJuly 2017- February 2018

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: seasonal position

SALARY: $50,000 - $55,000AUD pending on Experience.
